  • Sam Lennox Hocker

    Vice President and Secretary, Director

    Sam Lennox Hocker was raised in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas and has served on the board since 1994. He is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Since his graduation from college he has lived in Dallas, Texas and been in the commercial real estate field. He has worked with several large national real estate firms over the course of his career and is currently an Executive Vice President with NAI Robert Lynn Company. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the National Association of Realtors.

    As a Lennox Foundation board member, in addition to co-management of grants, he is responsible for the management of the Foundation’s oil and gas, timber, and real property interests.

  • William P. Streng

    President and Treasurer, Director

    William Streng assisted the Lennox family members with their original formation of the Martha, David & Bagby Lennox Foundation in the year 1985. He was subsequently appointed to the positions of Chairman and President of the Lennox Foundation after the deaths of the Lennox family members and after the death of

    Hardy Moore who served as the Foundation’s Chairman and President immediately after the death of Martha Lennox.

    For a considerable time Mr. Streng has been an endowed chair Professor of Law at the University of Houston Law Center, specializing in the teaching of various tax law subjects. He has been a practicing attorney with several law firms, a U.S. government official and a professor at various law schools both in and outside the United States. He is also the author of numerous tax law publications.

    In his participation with the Lennox Foundation he is pleased to assist in the development and activities of the Martha, David & Bagby Lennox Foundation as it provides essential support to worthy charitable recipients, particularly in Red River County, Texas and the vicinity.

  • Mary W. Clark

    Vice President, Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Secretary, Director

    Mary Walker Clark has served on the Lennox Foundation board since 1998. She replaced the Lennox family’s long time lawyer, Hardy Moore. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin and of the University of Houston Law Center, Mary practiced law for almost 30 years. Most recently, she was a partner in The Moore Law Firm, limiting her practice to the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, and Elder Law. She has lived in Paris since 1979 and has been actively involved in the community, serving as vice-president of the Paris ISD school board, president of the Paris Education Foundation, co-chair of the Diversity Task Force, and founder of the Lamar County Leadership program through the Chamber of Commerce.

    On the Lennox Foundation board, Mary is responsible for reviewing all grant requests and making any needed contacts for additional information.
